2. Submission Guidelines

To ensure a smooth submission process, authors must follow the guidelines provided below:

  • Manuscript Types: We accept the following types of manuscripts:

    • Research Articles

    • Review Articles

    • Short Communications

    • Case Studies

    • Theoretical Papers

  • Formatting: Authors should adhere to the FMS manuscript template, which includes:

    • Title, abstract (150-300 words), and keywords (3-5 words).

    • Introduction, methods, results, and discussion.

    • References formatted in [APA/Harvard style] (or any other specific style as per the journal’s template).

    • Tables and figures should be submitted separately, in high-quality formats (e.g., .jpg, .png, .tiff).

  • Word Limit: Research articles should not exceed [X] words, excluding references, tables, and figures.

  • Ethical Considerations: Authors must ensure that their research complies with ethical guidelines, especially when dealing with human or animal subjects. Please include the necessary ethics approval information if applicable.

  • Plagiarism Check: All manuscripts will be checked for plagiarism using recognized tools (e.g., Turnitin or iThenticate). By submitting to FMS, authors agree to the journal’s plagiarism policy.

3. Submission Process

  • Online Submission: Manuscripts must be submitted electronically through the FMS submission portal. A submission checklist is provided to guide you through the process.

  • Cover Letter: Authors must submit a cover letter with their manuscript, stating that the work is original, has not been submitted elsewhere, and includes all necessary disclosures (e.g., conflicts of interest, funding sources).

  • Initial Screening: Upon submission, the editorial team will perform an initial screening to ensure that the manuscript adheres to the journal’s scope, formatting requirements, and ethical standards.

4. Peer Review Process

Once your manuscript passes the initial screening, it will undergo double-blind peer review. This means that both the authors and the reviewers are anonymized. Reviewers will evaluate the manuscript based on:

  • Originality and contribution to the field.

  • Methodological rigor.

  • Clarity of writing and structure.

  • Relevance of references and citations.

After the review, you will receive feedback from the reviewers, which may include:

  • Minor Revisions: Small changes needed before acceptance.

  • Major Revisions: Substantial changes required before re-evaluation.

  • Reject: Manuscript does not meet the journal’s standards or scope.

5. Author Responsibilities

  • Ethical Approval: If your research involves human or animal subjects, ensure that you have obtained the necessary ethical approvals and consent. Include the approval details in your manuscript.

  • Data Integrity: Authors must ensure the integrity of their data and research. Any data manipulation, fabrication, or falsification will lead to immediate rejection.

  • Conflict of Interest: Disclose any financial or personal conflicts of interest that may affect the research or its interpretation.

  • Co-Authors: Ensure all co-authors have agreed to the manuscript submission and final version before submission. Any changes to authorship must be disclosed.

6. Revisions and Final Acceptance

If your manuscript requires revisions, authors are expected to address the reviewers’ comments thoroughly and resubmit the revised manuscript with a response letter explaining the changes made.

  • Revised Manuscripts: The editorial team will review the revised manuscript and provide a final decision. If further revisions are needed, the manuscript may go through additional rounds of review.

  • Final Acceptance: Once accepted, your manuscript will be scheduled for publication. At this stage, you will be asked to sign a publishing agreement and provide any necessary final edits.

7. Publication Fees

FMS follows an open-access publishing model, meaning that all articles are freely accessible to anyone. There may be a publication fee to cover production costs. Authors will be informed of the fees before final acceptance. Fee waivers may be available for authors from low-income countries or for those facing financial hardship.

8. Post-Publication

After publication, authors are encouraged to share their work through social media, academic networks, and institutional repositories to increase its visibility. FMS provides a DOI (Digital Object Identifier) for every article, making it easy to cite and track.

9. Author Rights

  • Copyright: Authors retain the copyright of their work upon publication, but they grant FMS the right to distribute the article under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY) license, allowing others to freely share and remix the content with proper attribution.

  • Reprints: Authors can order reprints of their articles for personal or institutional use, subject to a fee.
